Why trust remote control?
Companies dealing with large lighting systems are increasingly feeling the need to supervise the status and functioning of their lighting installations in order to guarantee safety and efficiency. In the majority of cases users carry out the task either by periodic patrols - an expensive solution - or in response to spontaneous notification.
Improving service
Spontaneous notification by users may be cost-free, but it involves a perception of inadequate service. With Intelux technology it is now possible to prevent deterioration of service and provide prompt notification of problems in order to guarantee a safe and comfortable lighting environment.
How does remote control work?
With Reverberi Enetec remote control systems you can monitor the status and performance
of lighting installations, verifying in real time operating efficiency and hence
avoid a breakdown in service.
Controllers use a radio modem, GSM (mobile phone) or telephone modems, supply on-line and historical information stored in the memory (voltage, current, phase displacement etc.) to a remote control centre (which consists of a PC and suitable software).
Furthermore in the event of an alarm (lights fail to come, tripping of circuit breakers, values not within alarm threshold levels) the control centre is contacted automatically.
The control centre can then control and modify - even in direct emulation - the controller parameters. In the event of failure you can send an SMS message to the mobile phone of a technician. The OPERA system is capable to offer an effective and definite solution to any requirements in the field of remote control, for it is:
Complete: made up of the MAESTRO remote control software and of series modules
(DAC, MEM, IOM, LPM, LPS, LPC, LPCD). It shall easily suit the needs of either restricted applications (individual
plant) and those of the largest plants (lighting management in towns, provinces,
regions).
Flexible: the modularity offered by either the installations on field and the software (available in
three versions) permits whatever change at any time; supporting the standard communication protocols as well (MODBUS and
TCP/IP); this system is up to offer a boundless versatility: communicating with the
PLC, sensors, actuators and other devices is easy.
Configurable: any solution is tailored to the actual needs of users: what you need, where you need,in the right moment.

Key features
These are some of the key features of the OPERA system:
Survey of the elements making up the plant is carried out smoothly and
easily,by utilizing appropriate tree graphic structures.
Appropriate control groups may perform the control and management of the
elements.
Any information collected by the software can be shared with most of the
management programmes or other application-oriented tools.
If palmar PC and/or cellular phones are utilized, the data relevant to
repairing and maintenance operations are downloaded directly in the
software,even in the remote mode.
The software provides all the tools necessary for plant maintenance
activity, both preventive and extraordinary: the information coming from
installed plants is utilized in the most effective way in the troubles
prevention and repair activity.
Technicians can be contacted in an automatic and fast mode in case of
emergency, via SMS and e-mail, sent to them.
Creating luminous stage effects, managed directly by the software in an
automatic mode:it is thus possible to plan both switch-on and dimming by groups
of lamps or individual luminaires.
