Intelux NG controllers | Lighting Energy Saving | Reverberi Enetec
Intelux is designed to control the luminous flux of all gas discharge lamps including fluorescent, high pressure sodium and metal halide
using standard inductive ballasts and standard starters/igniters. They are small in size and can be installed in the distribution board at the start of each circuit.
They can be used in single phase lines or on three-phase lines sharing the same neutral.
They can be connected to one single light source or to a group - which ever is appropriate to system design.
The Intelux products operate fully electronically using the AWI
principle (Adaptive Waveform intersection).
Before installation, please read the general
notes.

The controllers series Intelux NG
operate with power-factor corrected luminaires. They may easily fit both
new and retrofit projects.
The controllers series Intelux SC operate onto inductive lamps without
power-factor correction capacitors, and represent the most economical
power control solution.

Controls can be effected by:
Manually varying lighting level with a potentiometer
Comparing a pre-set value with level detected by sensor
With a selector at programmed levels (manually or timed)
With response to a proximity detector
With response to a PC program signal
Intelux can save 25 to 50% of all energy consumed by the majority of lighting installations. Savings are obtained in a number of ways:

Compensation of maintenance factor.
The flux produced by discharge lamps always decreases over time and all components in a lighting installation are subject to aging. This is why the installed power is increased at the design stage. However, in controlled installations the aging process can be compensated, saving 5 to 20% on energy costs.
Compensation of over design.
Constraints in the installation or the design often result in excessive light levels. A control system can compensate the excess, resulting in savings varying from 0 to 50%.
Compensation of daylight or daylight harvesting.
Proper use of daylight can result in savings of up to 50% on the total amount of power required. The system automatically adjusts in order to maintain an even and constant lighting level. Changes are very slow and virtually not perceptible. With a switching component the lighting can be turned off if the daylight and the operational conditions allow so.
Adapting light levels to actual needs.
During breaks, cleaning hours, or at any time when no people are in a space, lighting may be evenly reduced (dimmed) using timers or presence sensors. Savings of up to 30% may result.
Cutting air-conditioning costs.
. Lighting which produces less heat can result in additional savings in air conditioning costs amounting to 20 to 50% of the savings of the lighting cost savings.
